Local dive company welcomes a BlueSky future

Leaving her employment with a subsea services company in 2015, DiveSource founder, Sarah Hutcheon decided that she had the skills needed to brave the market on her own following positive feedback from two Operators she had previously worked with. DiveSource currently offers provision of crew and dive audit facilities to the Oil and Gas industry and the Renewable industry at an international level. Operating for just under a year, they have already landed a number of high profile contracts and are looking to launch their industry leading training courses by November 2016.

Sarah comments, “Although Aberdeen is trying to survive a challenging market I fully believe there are opportunities in the industry due to supply chains opening up. Offering a cost effective, highly competent service which is flexible to each operator’s needs has definitely helped me win work.”

Gordon Middleton, BlueSky Business Space Finance Director comments, “The motive for the competition stemmed from the challenges companies are currently facing in Aberdeen’s market. As a local serviced office provider we have the flexibility to adapt to suit our customer’s need, supporting them and providing guidance where possible. This competition has given us a clear understanding of the type of support BlueSky needs to give their tenants.”

“We are delighted to have DiveSource within BlueSky. Sarah’s business ethos of hard work, flexibility and integrity when conducting business mirrors the culture embedded within BlueSky.”

DiveSource will move into their BlueSky premises by mid November and will benefit from the full use of facilities, office space, meeting rooms and business support from the board.

Sarah continues, “I was thrilled when I won the competition. DiveSource is looking to grow within the industry as well as expand in terms of employment opportunities. The support offered by BlueSky will assist in building profile and structure to the organisation.”

DiveSource currently operates within the UK Continental Shelf and is expanding overseas with contractors working on several major projects in both oil & gas and renewables.

BlueSky Business Space operates within trading company Chess Group, alongside Commercial Air Conditioning, heating and plumbing company Aircon Scotland and IT and AV specialists Eskimo Intelligent Solutions. BlueSky Business Space currently have centres across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire with availability in their Westhill and City Centre properties.
