Re-development of the 16,317 sq ft premises, which covers four floors, is complete and the business centre will be operational from early September. The premises previously underwent an extensive refurbishment which included the installation of new energy efficient lighting, flooring and a suspended ceiling throughout along with a facelift externally.
The building, located at 15 Chapel Street, was formerly used by the Government as a job centre. Space will be tailored to accommodate businesses employing anywhere between one and 250 persons.
Angela Ritchie, manager of BlueSky Business Space, said:
“City centre office space is currently at a premium and in great demand. Many small businesses would like to be located in the city due to the retail offering, parking and transportation links, however, because of the lack of office space have found themselves being forced to consider premises in the suburbs.
“Serviced office space is a popular choice for SMEs as it provides a specialised business space without having the commitment of a long-term rental agreement and high running costs. To encourage businesses to stay in the city centre, we feel it is essential that there is a good selection of both refurbished and high quality, flexible office space and we firmly believe our Chapel Street development will provide an attractive option for businesses looking for space within Aberdeen.”
BlueSky Business Space is a leading provider of serviced office space in Aberdeen with business centres located in Westhill and Altens. All centres contain flexible managed offices that range from single-person offices to open plan space that can accommodate up to 100 people.
